Death By A Rose

Every time that I talked to you,
Sweet words spoken - many and few...

You made me laugh and made me smile,
Even if it was for a little while...

Each day I would eagerly wait,
Oh so worried, when you'd be late...

Your precious sight made my day,
I'd reach out to you and say, "Oh Heyy!"

I always thought you were the One,
Till you came to me and said, "There's Someone!"

You professed how much you loved him,
Slowly faded away my last hopeful light beam...

Seeing you happy, I cried and cheered,
I was slowly dying, I really feared...

And then came the fateful day,
You got hitched, happily. Eh?

Many years have gone by,
Under a marble tomb, now I lie...

In pensive silence, I ponder,
"Would I have been alive, I wonder?

If you'd given me the rose that you kept,
The one that you put over my grave and wept"...

Childhood

As I think of days that have gone by,
Memories stir deep inside, I think I wanna cry...

My mind's suddenly all so stunned,
And those life's precious lessons I had learned...

All of it is like a bitter sweet symphony,
Every day I've lived is but a crippling irony...

Each of those days I spent on playground,
Friends and friendship that I had found...

As time went by, my mates got few,
Life's tough, a bitter pill I had to chew...

I remember my childhood, a distant dream,
Time waits for none, this makes me scream...

The world keeps moving, I must go on,
Sweet and fragrant, but each rose has a thorn...

The Angel I Saw... Pari...

This is one of those moments when I get thoughtful, reflect on things...In short, I don't remain myself...Otherwise I tend to act weird, crazy, carefree et al...The exams jus got over today...Very verry cheery for that...Yeah, those horrendous things where you mug up at home, think you know everything, and when you receive the paper, you just can't help appreciate the quality of papers and the questions asked in it and also cursing yourself for all the time you wasted after things...

So the exams were over, and I had gone to a frnds place to play cricket...I was in a bit solemn mood which cheered up occasionally at the lyrics like "Jyan joe tyaan jamvanu"(Wherever you see, there is food) and "Helo maaro sambhdo"(Dunno exactly but mebbe - hello, lissen to me) which were playing at a nearby gathering...You must be questioning where the reflective mood suddenly came in! Rite! So when I was returning from frnd's place....

I was half skipping and half running as I was in a blend of cheery and solemn mood...Suddenly what came over me and I halted in my steps...This bus came by...It was dark owing to it being 7.30pm... So my eyes fell on that bus...And I saw her ready to alight it...I couldn't see her face...Then she boarded the bus and suddenly looked back and smiled...I exactly don't know wat she was smiling to... Mebbe she was smiling to herself... Then suddenly the bus moved and she was gone... "Thinking wat's the big deal? I saw her for bout 5-6 seconds and went ahead to blog bout it! I mad! I am crazee! I am idiot! I am dumbo!" ...But it was a different thing for me...

Those 5-6 seconds were ages for me... The first thing I realized that she was a Parsi... Definitely! And there was a Parsi colony metres away so mebbe she lived there... Or mebbe she had come to visit someone... Her flowing straight hair... So gracefully she climbed the bus... A pair of ever-twinkling eyes... A bright face... A really charming and pretty smile... She looked soo radiant... She had an aura of confidence and vivacity around her... She was carrying a sack... Mebbe she in her mid-teens yet so tender... Yeah! This is what I managed in those 5-6 seconds... Those moments were lifetime...

I've never seen her...Nor do I think that I'll see her again... If she'd hav approached me, I'd hav died of joy... If you think it is love, nah! Neither is it crush... It takes a long time for crush to develop... Mebbe Shakespeare hasn't found a word for it... If its in destiny, I'll meet her again and her charming young-gal smile will entrap me again... IF you're reading this and if you saw me, lemme compliment you that you're verry pretty...

It was a moment, a situation for you... But you made my day... I keep remembering you... It is lifetime for me..... I dunno your name, but think of you as PARI... The angel, PARI, I saw on earth...

Spellbound By That Special Feeling

Wind blew gently that night as if it had a story of its own to tell. It carried a scent, so friendly, yet so mystifying. It gave a feeling of something special from within. I gently opened windows to the gleaming milky moon-light, awed by the clear sky scattered with the distant stars. The sky looked so immense and unbounded, amplifying my diminutiveness compared to the perpetual universe.

Somewhere close by a cricket chirped, bringing my mind from somewhere light-years away to the vicinity. The cool breeze touched my face, refreshing me from the weariness of the hard day.I could hear night-jar chirping merrily to silent night. The night and the nature together conspired to arouse that special feeling from within myself. It was as if the flew away from the cage into the open arms of mother nature.

I was released from the earthly binding. Unrestricted and untethered, I soared away to the blissful ethereality. I had the blissful feeling of utmost felicity and ecstasy. There are moments in life when you think it can't get much better than this. It Isa feeling you feel when you are doing your heart's bidding. The exhilarating sensation of being on top of the world with a tingling numbness came to me like a sudden splash of water. I went to sleep at mid-night relishing those moments, with that special feeling lingering in my heart.

An Afternoon In Her Life

The waves hummed in her ears as she lay under the apple tree on top of a hillock. A cool breeze blowing from the sea in the late afternoon had made her drousy, as the summer sun shone mildy in the cloudy sky. She looked so beautiful. She lay peacefully, waiting for the eternity to pass by blissfully. She had her eyes on the waves striking a nearby rock.

Suddenly, she was distracted by a loud screech. A couple of seagulls were tugging for a small fish. Amused by it, she smiled. She looked so pretty when she smiled. Her emerald eyes and her curly long hair accentuated her looks. A quick glance at her watch made her realise it was quite late. The sun had almost dipped into the vast sea. She got up, took her handbag into which she collected a couple of fallen apples and left.
